Year 8

Now that kids are settled into high school, the bar continues to be raised. We start to see some more abstract and complex ideas begin to be introduced.

At this point of learning it is vital for students to not get left behind. With calculators typically only being allowed toward the end of Year 7, this is students first full year of “Non Primary Maths”, it will feel like a leap.

  • Dealing with the concept of an exam notification.

  • What study looks like, and more importantly, what good study looks like.

  • Introduction to more abstract concepts like Algebra.

  • Laying a foundation for the coming years. Good habits and good attitudes now pay dividends later.

  • "I could have sworn I knew how to do Pythagoras Theorem once."
